In his lessons of industrial design at Tel Aviv University, Yaacov Kaufman often studied grid structures and shear mechanisms. Multi X was the result, in 1987, of one of these studies. It is a table lamp whose stem is made by an original mobile stem made up of small steel lightweight sections that balance by respective contrast. The structure can bend and curve in each direction and becomes the ideal support for a halogen light source that can be adjusted to all directions. Multi X is available also in a floor version to be used as reading lamp or accent light.
