The fabric is made and very carefully embroidered using state-of-the-art textile industry technologies. It is easily slipped out of its metal frame for washing and ironing. The NOMEX® yarn, and the flame-resistant fibre used in suits for firemen, Formula 1 drivers and astronauts, are highly resistant to wear. At the same time they maintain the softness of its drapery and a pleasant touch like that of natural fibres. These characteristics make Lucilla’s “dress” original and inimitable and boost its domestic quality. A series of metal supports allow many different possible uses: for suspension, up-down with pulley, bookcase shelves, walls, floor or table. The on-off switch is housed in the bulb-holder and is suitable both for incandescent and fluorescent bulbs.
