Archimoon Soft Base is an all-purpose and shapely table lamp, providing direct and diffused light. This table lamp was designed by Philippe Starck in 1998. The body of the lamp consists of aluminium alloy; the foot is filled with plumb to secure a safe stand. The internal diffuser consists of acid-etched pressed borosilicate glass. The external diffuser consists of plisse cloth. The lamp has grey painted die-cast aluminum diffuser support. The grey painted structure is composed of arms from extruded aluminum, of steel tie rods, of stainless steel springs, and 50% fiberglass reinforced, injection- molded polyamide joints. The lamp possesses a die-cast "Zamak" base. The ON/OFF switch is a small, sleek stem of injection-molded transparent polycarbonate positioned at the base of the stem. The flexible arms of Archimoon Soft offer a max. projection of 100cm, the lampshade is also adjustable. There are three different versions of this table lamp: With base, with clamp or particularly modern with wall attachment.
